Dance Stories

Dance Stories has four movements and is based on different characters of dance. The first movement is majestic with structured chord sequences throughout and is based on traditional ceremonial dance. In contrast the swing-like feel pervades the second movement. The third movement is a more light-hearted piece bridging the fourth movement. The conclusion of this piece is derived from the opening of the first movement and as such represents both a return to, and the end of a journey.
