Rhapsody
for Euphonium and Concert Band
James CURNOW (b. 1943)
James Curnow originally wrote Rhapsody for Euphonium and Concert Band as a teaching piece for his own euphonium students. It is dedicated to the memory of his teacher, Leonard Falcone, Director Emeritus of Bands at the Michigan State University. Since its first release in 1978, Rhapsody for Euphonium has gone on to become a very important part of the euphonium literature.
